Max and I met in 1998 at a friends BBQ in Eagan, Minnesota. Love at first sight. We dated for about a year before we decided to get married. We married February of 2000. Later than year we decided to change our life. MacArthur House seemed like a perfect fit for us. We love to entertain, cook and a clean house is a must. Max had always vacationed in the boundary waters of Minnesota. We found our place in Grand Marais July of 2000. The rest is history. Our business expanded in 2013. We added 7 cabins and a 2 unit motel. The cabins and motel units are adjacent to MacArthur House. In March of 2024 Max's nephew, Rama, move to Grand Marais to take over the MacArthur House Cabins.
Our blended family of 3 daughters and 1 son continues to grow. We have 4 grandchildren, two grand dogs, four grand kitties and we have, Lexi, a mini husky. She lives in the BB with us.
Max is a violinist. Started his career at the age of 7. Max has ben performing for 60+ years. One of his loves is the band he plays in,The Splints. An eclectic mix of exceptional musicians. Perfect fit for Mad Max. Sherri is an artist. She loves making bead woven jewelry, painting, drawing, and anything creative.
